- 4 medium zucchinis
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup diced bell pepper
- 1/2 cup sliced olives
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, sauté ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add pizza sauce and Italian seasoning to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Slice zucchinis into thin rounds and layer half in a baking dish.
- Spread half of the beef mixture over the zucchinis, followed by half of the cheese.
- Layer the remaining zucchinis, beef mixture, and top with cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding pepperoni or mushrooms to the casserole.
- Use fresh herbs for a more vibrant taste.
