- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, and mix until just combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are firm.
- Let cool before adding ganache filling.
Notes
- For an extra touch, dust with powdered sugar after adding ganache.
- These cookies can be decorated with heart-shaped sprinkles for Valentine’s Day.
