Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs; mix well.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough onto baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden but the centers are soft.
  9. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
