Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup fresh Thai basil leaves
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 package rice paper wrappers
- 1 cucumber, sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add ground beef, cooking until browned.
- Stir in soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Mix well and remove from heat.
- Soak rice paper wrappers in warm water until soft.
- Place a lettuce leaf, some beef, Thai basil, cucumber, and carrot on the wrapper.
- Wrap tightly and repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Serve with dipping sauce of your choice.
Notes
- These rolls are best served fresh.
- Feel free to add other vegetables or protein to the rolls.
