- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 can (15 ounces) pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Stir in chili powder, cumin, and smoked paprika, cooking for another minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, pinto beans, and beef broth.
- Season with salt and black pepper, bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and let simmer for at least 30 minutes.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust spices to taste to make it spicier.
- Letting chili sit overnight will enhance the flavors.
