- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter into the mashed bananas.
- Mix in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Stir in the flour until just incorporated.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
- For added flavor, mix in nuts or substitute some flour with cocoa powder for a chocolate version.
