- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, pureed
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar, bringing it to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pipe the dough into donuts and fry until golden.
- Prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and strawberry puree.
- Dip the cooled crullers into the glaze and allow to set.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of salt to the dough.
- Make sure the oil is hot enough to prevent the crullers from soaking up grease.
