- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 0.5 cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract. Beat on medium speed until smooth.
- Stir in the boiling water until well combined.
- Pour the batter into greased cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Let the cakes cool before frosting.
- For the frosting, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Spread over the cooled cake and top with sliced strawberries.

- Ensure the cakes are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting.
- The strawberries can be macerated for added sweetness.
