- 4 pounds chicken pieces
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together apple cider, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, cinnamon, and black pepper.
- Place chicken pieces in a large zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade and brown on all sides.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish and pour the remaining marinade over it.
- Bake for 40-50 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.

- Serve with rice or vegetables for a complete meal.
- This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated.
