  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in garlic, cumin, and chili powder; cook for another minute.
  4. Add the bell pepper, jalapeño, and black beans; mix well.
  5. Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • For additional heat, leave seeds in the jalapeño.
