- 2 pounds fresh green beans
- 4 slices turkey bacon
- 1 cup chicken ham, diced
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups chicken broth
Instructions
- Wash and trim the green beans.
- In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the onion and garlic in the bacon drippings until translucent.
- Add the diced chicken ham and cook for another 3 minutes.
- Stir in the green beans, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 30 minutes, until beans are tender.
- Before serving, crumble the cooked turkey bacon and stir it into the beans.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Ensure the beans are not overcooked to maintain their vibrant color and crunch.
