- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream the butter and sugar together in a large bowl until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Form dough balls and roll them in cinnamon sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For chewier cookies, underbake slightly.
- You can freeze the dough for up to 3 months.
