Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt in a separate bowl; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the 3 tablespoons of sugar with the cinnamon.
  6. Shape the dough into balls and roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  7. Place cookies on ungreased baking sheets.
