- 2 pounds beef chuck roast
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Place the beef chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and add minced garlic, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Pour the garlic butter mixture over the beef.
- Add beef broth to the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
- Remove the beef, shred it, and return it to the slow cooker. Stir to combine with the broth.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- For best results, sear the beef before placing it in the slow cooker.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
