Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into patties.
- In a skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Add patties and cook until browned on both sides.
- Remove patties and set aside. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry, then add to the broth. Stir until thickened.
- Add the patties back to the skillet, cover, and cook until heated through.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a classic meal.
- You can add mushrooms to the gravy for extra flavor.
