Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Form the mixture into oval patties.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the patties, and cook until browned on both sides.
  4. Remove patties and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the broth to thicken.
  7. Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
