- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into oval patties.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the patties, and cook until browned on both sides.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add beef broth and bring to a simmer.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into the broth to thicken.
- Return the patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
