Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breast, sliced
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add turkey bacon and cook until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add sliced chicken and cook until browned.
  3. Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in mushrooms and cook until they release their moisture.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
  6. Gradually add chicken broth, stirring to combine.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream and mustard. Add cooked turkey bacon back in.
  8. Season with salt and pepper. Cook on low heat for a few more minutes.
  9. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

  • Add more broth if you prefer a thinner sauce.
