- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups red wine
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Form the mixture into meatballs and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until browned.
- In a large saucepan, add red wine and bring to a simmer.
- Add the baked meatballs to the saucepan and let simmer for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot with your choice of sides.
Notes
- For extra flavor, let the meatballs marinate in the sauce for longer.
- Serve with crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
