Ingredients

- 1 pound lamb, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 onion, grated
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon saffron strands, soaked in 2 tablespoons warm water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the lamb, olive oil, cumin, paprika, grated onion, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and saffron water. Mix well to coat the lamb evenly.
- Cover and marinate the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Thread the marinated lamb onto skewers, making sure to leave space between each piece.
- Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the lamb is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Serve with pita bread and a fresh salad for a complete meal.
- You can substitute the lamb with chicken or beef, if preferred.
