- 1 pound flank steak, sliced thinly against the grain
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the sliced flank steak with soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook until browned.
- Add the minced garlic and stir for about 30 seconds.
- Mix brown sugar, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes in a bowl and pour over the meat.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce thickens.
- Stir in the green onions and cook for another minute.
- Serve hot over rice or noodles.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, slice the flank steak against the grain.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
