- 3 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
- Add the baking soda and salt; mix it in. Then stir in the sugar, egg, and vanilla.
- Finally, mix in the flour.
- Pour the batter into a buttered loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- This banana bread can be made with or without nuts or chocolate chips for added flavor.
- For best results, use very ripe bananas.
