- 1 pound risoni (orzo)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-7 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add risoni and toast for 2 minutes.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until risoni is cooked.
- Stir in parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, cherry tomatoes, and fresh basil.
- Serve hot and enjoy!

- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken with herbs overnight.
