Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Italian herbs
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it’s frothy.
  2. Add olive oil, flour, salt, Italian herbs, and cheeses to the yeast mixture.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Let cool before slicing and serving.
