- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian herbs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for about 5 minutes until it’s frothy.
- Add olive oil, flour, salt, Italian herbs, and cheeses to the yeast mixture.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Punch down the dough, shape into a loaf, and place in a greased loaf pan.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This bread is best served warm with butter or as a side to soups and salads.
