- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 pieces chicken breasts
- 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup Irish whiskey
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook until browned on both sides.
- Remove chicken and set aside. In the same skillet, add turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
- Add onion and garlic, cooking until softened.
- Pour in whiskey and let it simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine.
- Return chicken to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- This sauce pairs well with pasta or mashed potatoes.
- For a thicker sauce, allow it to simmer longer.
