- 1 tablespoon dried herbs (such as rosemary or thyme)
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and herbs.
- Add the buttermilk and stir until a dough forms.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead gently.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf.
- Place the loaf on a baking sheet and cut a cross on top.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let it cool before slicing.
Notes
- Best enjoyed fresh but can be toasted as well.
