  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream together butter and egg until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add powdered sugar and mix until well combined.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared sheet, making an indentation in the center of each.
  7. Fill each indentation with a small amount of cream cheese mixture.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
