- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp brewed coffee
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp instant coffee granules
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the sugar and butter.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- Combine the flour, cocoa, and salt; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the brewed coffee.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- For the frosting, mix the powdered sugar, milk, and instant coffee until smooth and spreadable.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled brownies.
Notes
- For a stronger coffee flavor, increase the amount of brewed coffee.
- These brownies are best served chilled after frosting.
