- 8 ounces pasta of your choice
- 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
- 2 cups onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and sauté until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
- Pour in the beef broth, balsamic vinegar, and thyme; bring to a simmer.
- Add the cooked pasta and turkey bacon to the skillet, stirring to combine.
- Top with shredded Gruyère cheese and let melt before serving.
Notes
- For extra richness, consider adding a splash of white wine.
- Feel free to substitute vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
