Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm water
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon coarse sea salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
- Add flour and salt to the yeast mixture, knead until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Divide dough and shape into flower shapes.
- Boil water with baking soda, then dip each flower pretzel for 30 seconds.
- Place on a baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle sea salt.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
