Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Melt the butter in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in the sugar until well combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, espresso powder, and salt; then fold into the wet ingredients.
  7. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased baking pan.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add more espresso powder.
