Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces egg noodles

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat and drain excess fat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until translucent.
  3. Stir in sliced mushrooms and cook until soft.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, then bring to a simmer.
  5. Mix cornstarch with a little water, then stir into the skillet to thicken the sauce.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.
  8. Serve the stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles.
