- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1 lemon juice and zest
- 3 large egg yolks
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, orange juice, orange zest, lemon juice, lemon zest, egg yolks, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the citrus mixture until well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Serve chilled, garnished with additional citrus zest if desired.
Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute half of the cream with Greek yogurt.
- This dessert pairs well with fresh berries on top.
