Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup rice, cooked
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the leaves from the head of cabbage and blanch them in the boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable.
  3. In a skillet, sauté the onion and garlic in a little oil until softened. Add the ground beef and turkey bacon, cooking until browned.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice, diced tomatoes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf and roll tightly, tucking in the sides.
  6. Place the rolls seam side down in a baking dish and cover with tomato sauce.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes.
