- 1 pound cheese tortellini
- 1 pound Italian sausage
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a crockpot, add the Italian sausage and cook until browned.
- Add the marinara sauce, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
- Add the cheese tortellini and mix to coat with the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until the tortellini is tender.
- During the last 30 minutes, stir in the chopped spinach and shredded mozzarella cheese until melted.
Notes
- This recipe can be adjusted for spiciness by using spicy Italian sausage.
- For a vegetarian option, omit the sausage and add more vegetables.
