- 6 slices brioche bread
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, heavy cream, milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Soak the brioche slices in the mixture for about 5 minutes on each side.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter.
- Cook the soaked brioche slices for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top of each slice and use a kitchen torch to caramelize the sugar.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, let the bread soak overnight in the refrigerator.
- Serve with fresh berries and maple syrup for added sweetness.
