- 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 cups vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch together.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs.
- Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
- In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes; bring to a boil.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken until golden brown.
- Drain the chicken on paper towels and then toss it in the orange sauce.
- Serve hot over rice or with vegetables.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey.
