  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 4 cups vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and cornstarch together.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs.
  4. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  5. In a saucepan, combine the orange juice, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes; bring to a boil.
  6. Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken until golden brown.
  7. Drain the chicken on paper towels and then toss it in the orange sauce.
  8. Serve hot over rice or with vegetables.

  • For extra crispiness, double fry the chicken.
