- 1 pound white fish, such as cod or tilapia
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 8 small corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1/2 cup salsa
Instructions
- Preheat oil in a deep skillet.
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
- Dip fish pieces into the egg mixture, then into the flour mixture, coating well.
- Carefully place fish in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes.
- Heat tortillas in a separate pan.
- Assemble tacos by placing fish on tortillas, top with cabbage, avocado, and salsa.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the fish in lime juice for 30 minutes before frying.
- Serve with lime wedges for squeezing over tacos.
