- 1 pound chicken breasts
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup egg noodles
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups carrots, sliced
- 2 cups celery, sliced
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine chicken breasts, chicken broth, and water. Bring to a boil.
- Add onion, garlic, carrots, and celery. Reduce heat and simmer until the chicken is cooked through.
- Remove the chicken, shred it, and return it to the pot.
- Add egg noodles, thyme, and black pepper. Cook until noodles are tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add fresh parsley before serving.
- You can use rotisserie chicken to save time.
