Comforting and Creamy Beef Stroganoff with Turkey Bacon Twist

Ingredients

  • 1 pound beef sirloin
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups mushrooms sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add beef sirloin to the skillet and brown on all sides.
  3. Add onions and garlic, cooking until softened.
  4. Stir in mushrooms and cook until they begin to release their moisture.
  5. Sprinkle flour over the mixture and stir well.
  6. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
  7. Reduce heat and stir in sour cream and Worcestershire sauce.
  8. Return turkey bacon to the skillet and mix to combine.
  9. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  10. Serve over egg noodles or rice.

Notes

  • For a creamier sauce, use additional sour cream.
  • Can substitute mushrooms with other favorite vegetables.
