  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons salt

  • 2 tablespoons fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 large onion, quartered
  • 1 large carrot, chopped
  • 1 large celery, chopped
  • 4 cups chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. While the oven is heating, prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix the softened butter with salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  4. Rub the butter mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin.
  5. Stuff the cavity with onion, carrot, and celery.
