Ingredients

- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon grated orange zest
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the sugar, orange juice, grated zest, salt, and cream of tartar.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reaches a boil.
- Allow to boil without stirring until the temperature reaches 250°F (hard ball stage).
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before pouring onto a greased marble slab.
- Once cooled completely, cut into pieces and enjoy.
Notes
- For a more concentrated flavor, use freshly squeezed orange juice.
- Make sure to grease the slab well to prevent sticking.
