- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake for 60-70 minutes.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- For a sweeter bread, increase sugar by 1/4 cup.
- This bread can be served warm or at room temperature.
