- 2 cups rice
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 pound chicken breast, diced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup frozen peas
Instructions
- In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the diced chicken breast and cook until browned.
- Add the rice and stir for a minute.
- Pour in the chicken broth and add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover.
- Cook for 15-20 minutes, or until rice is tender.
- Stir in the frozen peas and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
Notes
- For added flavor, marinate the chicken prior to cooking.
- This dish can be made in a rice cooker for convenience.
