Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup toffee bits
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat until it turns golden brown. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine brown sugar and granulated sugar. Add the browned butter and mix until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in toffee bits.
- Drop tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Allow cooling on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, be careful not to over-brown the butter.
- Feel free to add chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey treat.
