Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions and allow it to cool.
  2. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  3. Cut the cooled cake into cubes.
  4. In a trifle dish, layer chocolate cake, cherry pie filling, and whipped cream.
  5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
