- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.
- Add onions and garlic to the beef, cooking until softened.
- Stir in the mushrooms, cooking until they are tender.
- Add the egg noodles, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Notes
- For added flavor, you can include fresh herbs such as parsley or thyme.
- This casserole can easily be adapted by using different meats or vegetables.
