Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup olives, sliced
  • 1 package empanada dough discs
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the onion and garlic until soft, then add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in the cumin, paprika, salt, pepper, and olives. Remove from heat.
  4. Place a generous spoonful of the beef mixture onto each empanada disc.
  5. Fold the disc over the filling and seal the edges with a fork.
  6. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
