Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Italian bread
  • 8 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup roasted red peppers, sliced
  • 1/4 cup olives, sliced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of Italian bread in half lengthwise.
  3. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  4. Layer the mozzarella cheese, roasted red peppers, olives, and cooked turkey bacon on the bottom half of the bread.
  5. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the top.
  6. Drizzle olive oil on both halves of the bread.
  7. Place the top half of the bread back on, then wrap the sandwich in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
  9. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.
