- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2–3 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and melted butter.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and fold in the diced apples.
- Scoop the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, making small rounds.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- While the fritters are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing powdered sugar with milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the fritters once they are out of the oven.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg to the batter.
- Enjoy the fritters warm for the best taste.
