- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 pound bacon, chopped
- 1 cup mushrooms, diced
- 1/2 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add the onions and mushrooms, cooking until softened. Add garlic and cook for another minute.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bacon, sautéed onions and mushrooms, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Transfer the meat mixture to a greased loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
- Bake for 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

- For extra moisture, consider adding a splash of milk.
- Serve with your favorite sides for a complete meal.
